About Us
Acini Driving School is low-cost driving school started by Acini Capital, a Norwegian Impact Investment Company to equip Kenyan Youth with skills and a path to employment. It started on a meeting with a group of women in Elgeyo Marakwet with requests that Acini supports women who wanted to acquire driving skills but could not afford the huge amounts demanded by commercial schools. Also, the women wanted something they could access easily without necessarily having to travel long distances to get the training. After several such requests in Turbo and other parts of Uasin Gishu County, the CEO of Acini Capital As agreed to fund the establishment of a low-cost school that would care mostly for rural women.

Our group enrolled about 10 students immediately and we began classes the following day. The timing was very flexible and fit well with our schedule. Today, our group f about 25 members have drinking licences courtesy of Acini.

I had enrolled for driving classes in another school but dropped out since my schedule at work could not allow me to continue. I was reporting to work at 8 O’clock and leaving very late. The instructor I was assigned did not agree with this and requested me to come only on Saturdays. This would’ve seen me take around 5 months to complete a 3-week course. I opted out.
When I shared my plight with one of my colleagues who was a student at Acini, she quickly introduced me to Benard Sang who encouraged me to join them since it was still possible to take classes everyday even at odd hours. I agreed and enrolled and was assigned an instructor who would take me for early morning classes and late evening classes. Today, I am a proud driver courtesy of ACINI.
Thank you BEN!!!

One day while going about my business at Huruma Market, I was handed a flyer by a lady who was part of a roadshow. She asked me about my details and urged me to find a way of joining the. I presented the same to mum and discussed about the possibility of joining. From their total fee, we were sure that we could raise at least KES 3,000 every week together. The following week, we agreed that I would save all the money I got and my mum would top it up for me to enrol. That is how I ended up at Acini. I am so grateful for their understanding and the commitment of their instructors. I am now taking additional courses with
2X Education.
